Clubs and Activities

  • Pre-K8

    The following clubs and organizations have been approved by the pre-K8 principle:

    Student Council – seven and eighth grade students. Meet to discuss and plan events for the student body.

    Honor society – students who achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher. Meet with advisors and plan academic functions and meetings. Students also help develop monthly school newspaper.

    Academic bowl – students selected to participate in competitions among other schools and with an our school concerning academic and debate topics.

    Yearbook – students plan and develop a digital school yearbook.

    Vocal glee club – students selected to competitive saying at competitions (seven – eight) grade students.

    Cheerleading – students selected to be on a cheer team and attend sporting events.

    Safety Patrol – students selected to be trained in assisting in the safety of the school.

    Fellowship of Christian athletes – FCA – to present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord serving him and their relationships in the fellowship of the church.

    Science Club – to educate students about health careers, take tours, learn about medical science, and help the community.

    National honor Society – the purpose of this organization shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character and the students of secondary schools.

    Pep Club – the pep club seeks to inspire students to catch that Millwood's. Spirit! The pep club works to increase student participation that Millwood games. Membership is open to all members of the Millwood community.

    Journalism – the purpose of the journal journalism club is to bring together students interested in journalism and research matters affecting our campus; become engaged in activities related to journalism while adhering to the core values of Millwood high school.

    Poetry / Book Club – provide a created venue for riders of Millwood high school. To poetry readings, open mic events, workshops, and campuswide poetry project camera, the club has proven itself an invaluable forum for the high school writing community and an asset to the entire school.

    FCCLA – to provide opportunities for personal development and preparation for adult life. To strengthen the function of the family is the basic unit of society to encourage democracy to cooperative action in the home and community. To encourage individual and group involvement in helping achieve global cooperation and harmony. To promote greater understanding between youth and adults. To provide opportunities for making decisions and for sending responsibilities. To prepare for the multiple roles of men and women in today society. To promote family and consumer science and related occupations.

    BPA – the purpose of business professionals of America is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, academic, citizenship, and technological skills.

    Spanish Club – the purpose of the club is to provide the opportunity for members to speak Spanish and to increase their knowledge and awareness of the Spanish-speaking world.
    Student Council – the Millwood high school student Council is a nondiscriminatory nonpartisan representative body of students its primary objective is to identify progressive methods, which can be utilized by all students to encourage leadership, a poll student achievement, enhance campus – community life through quality programs, and act as a liaison between students and the administration.
